Mesotherapy

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a treatment that stimulates the mesoderm, or middle layer of the skin, which will, in turn, relieve a wide variety of symptoms and ailments. The connective tissue of the body, primarily the collagen (insoluble fibrous protein), which makes up the bone, ligaments, tendons, and muscle, is derived from the mesoderm. The mesoderm also involves the fat or adipose tissue and connective tissues around organs.

Mesotherapy is the practice of injecting small amounts of vitamins, minerals, medications and amino acids placed just under the surface of the skin, into the mesoderm.

Mesotherapy has a variety of applications including weight loss, cellulite reduction, face and neck rejuvenation, and hair regrowth.

A French physician, Dr. Michel Pistor, pioneered Mesotherapy in 1952. Formal recognition by the French Academy of Medicine only in 1987. Mesotherapy is currently practice throughout Europe, North and South America and South Africa.

Cellulite Reduction

Because cellulite involves an abnormality in fat accumulation, Mesotherapy injections should be done in conjunction with a comprehensive natural medicine program designed to improve overall metabolism. This would have the effect of increasing weight loss and improving overall health.

Hormone imbalances are often at the core of the problem and need to be corrected to have the maximum effect. If the underlying physiology is corrected and maintained, then Mesotherapy is done in an initial series - if it recurs, then the process will need to be repeated.
